Like with web design, the only way to get truly great results from your website is to hire someone who understands perfectly what you want to achieve. The cost can vary as stated above depending on the keywords and the competition for page one. It makes more sense to drive longer term free organic traffic to your website than pay perpetually for a pay-per-click campaign.
